Since 2008, hundreds of students, professionals, and others received information, were coached, and given real-world projects towards careers that help keep pets & people, healthy at home. This program ensures that the people who provide services to pets in Northeast Ohio and elsewhere have the right credentials to keep pets and their people healthy.
Vanessa came to One Health Organization through the One Health Workforce Development Program. This was made possible in collaboration with Mature Services, a provider of the Senior Community Service Employment Program (funded by the US Department of Labor). She needed to gain computer-related skills and was thrilled to support a pet-related nonprofit helping vulnerable people in need. Since she qualified, her dog Tracy was able to get the veterinary care he needed to stay healthy.
She was finally able to pay her bills and get her heat turned back on through temporary employment provided by One Health Organization.
