What Human Foods Can Dogs Eat?
Is your pup begging at the table? Some dogs are experts at training us to share our food. The fact is some foods humans eat are okay, while others can be dangerous. Here are some basic rules.
It's okay to feed your dog fruits like apples, bananas, blueberries, and watermelon.
Dogs can eat veggies, including broccoli, green beans, sweet potatoes, and zucchini.
They can also eat cooked meats and fish and grains, dairy, and most nuts.
Absolutely DO NOT let dogs eat:
Anything with Xylitol, an artificial sweetener (watch out for it in peanut butter!)
Chocolate
Onions and garlic
Grapes and raisins
Avocados
Keep in mind that most commercially prepared pet foods provide all the nutrition your dog needs, so any human food treats should be kept to a minimum.
